Subcommittee Duties and the Legislative Report

The Texas Groundwater Protection Committee reports its activities to the Texas Legislature every legislative session through its biennial legislative report. The report describes the TGPC’s activities for the two preceding years and provides recommendations to improve groundwater protection for Legislative consideration. The Legislative Report Subcommittee is only active 6-8 months before the legislative session. The Subcommittee facilitates the full Committee’s efforts in publishing the report and is responsible for:

  • Reviewing the draft report’s contents;
  • Revising the scope of the report, as needed; and,
  • Developing, for full-Committee approval, groundwater protection recommendations for the Legislature.

The current Legislative Report can be found on the Publication’s Page.

A more detailed explanation of the Subcommittee’s goals is provided in its Subcommittee Charge.
